While attending university, Sayoko studied fashion in London. Her experience was appreciated in Tokyo. In 2012, she got a job at an apparel company and launched her own fashion brand. Sayoko ran the brand as director and became involved in all aspects of brand management, including design, purchasing, and public relations. She moved to Singapore after getting married.

Sayoko reaffirmed the goodness of Japanese quality and craftsmanship, and decided to spread these values to the world. She started making jewellery mainly using Japanese Akoya pearls, and she continues to do so to this day.
